2 TIMOTHY

The book of 2 Timothy is a deeply personal and urgent letter from the Apostle Paul to his younger protégé, Timothy. Written while Paul was imprisoned and facing execution in Rome, it serves as his final will and testament. The letter is a powerful encouragement to Timothy, who was leading the church in Ephesus, urging him to remain steadfast in his faith, to boldly preach the Gospel despite opposition and suffering, and to faithfully pass on sound doctrine to the next generation. Paul emphasises the importance of endurance, warns against false teachings and godless behaviour that would arise in the "last days," and shares his own unwavering confidence in Christ even as his earthly life draws to a close. It's a call to courage, faithfulness, and perseverance in ministry.
