DANIEL

The Book of Daniel tells the story of a young Jewish man named Daniel and his three friends, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, who were taken captive from Jerusalem to Babylon by King Nebuchadnezzar. Despite being in a foreign land and under the rule of pagan kings, Daniel and his friends remained fiercely loyal to their God. The book records their experiences, including divine protection in a lion's den and a fiery furnace, their wisdom in interpreting dreams and visions for various kings, and Daniel's own prophetic visions about the future of kingdoms and the ultimate triumph of God's eternal kingdom. It's a powerful message about faithfulness to God in challenging circumstances, God's supreme authority over human rulers, and His ultimate plan for history.
