LEVITICUS

The book of Leviticus acts as a detailed rulebook given by God to the ancient Israelites, primarily through Moses, shortly after their escape from Egypt. Its main purpose is to teach the people how to live as a holy nation and how to properly worship and interact with a holy God. It details numerous laws concerning sacrifices, the duties of the priests, rules for ritual purity, and instructions for various religious festivals. Essentially, it provides the instructions for how people, who are not perfect, can approach a perfect God and maintain a right relationship with Him, emphasising the importance of holiness in every part of their lives.
