EXODUS

The book of Exodus tells the compelling story of the descendants of Jacob, also known as the Israelites, who were enslaved in ancient Egypt. It recounts their miraculous liberation by God's powerful hand, led by Moses. The narrative describes the dramatic confrontation with Pharaoh, the devastating series of ten plagues that afflicted Egypt, and the awe-inspiring crossing of the Red Sea. After their escape from bondage, the Israelites journey through the desert, where they receive divine laws and instructions for worship from God at Mount Sinai, including the Ten Commandments. The book concludes with detailed plans for constructing the Tabernacle, a portable sanctuary designed to be the dwelling place for God's presence among His chosen people.
