PSALMS: CHAPTER 24

Psalm 24 is a majestic liturgical hymn of entry and coronation celebrating the universal ownership of God: 'The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.' David asks the piercing spiritual question: 'Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?' answering that only those with clean hands, pure hearts, and authentic humility can enter God’s presence and receive His blessing. The psalm reaches an exhilarating climax as the ancient gates and doors are commanded to lift up their heads so that the King of Glory, the Lord strong and mighty, may enter. This psalm invites us to open the gates of our hearts in daily repentance and adoration, welcoming the triumphant King of Glory into every room of our lives.
