REVELATION: CHAPTER 17

Chapter 17 of Revelation unveils a powerful vision of "Babylon the Great," symbolised as a richly adorned but utterly corrupt woman riding a monstrous beast. This woman represents a global system of spiritual and political evil, a wicked city or empire that has seduced the world's rulers and persecuted God's faithful followers. An angel explains the complex symbolism of the beast's seven heads and ten horns, representing various kings and kingdoms throughout history. The chapter reveals that eventually, these very kings, influenced by God's plan, will turn against the corrupt woman and utterly destroy her, signifying the downfall of this great centre of wickedness before the final judgement.
