1 THESSALONIANS: CHAPTER 2

In Chapter 2, Paul passionately defends his ministry among the Thessalonians, emphasising his sincerity, selflessness, and genuine love for them. He reminds them that he and his companions worked hard, never sought personal gain or glory, and cared for them like a loving parent. He contrasts his pure motives with those who preach for selfish reasons, highlighting how the Thessalonians accepted God's message as truth. Paul then speaks of the opposition they faced, particularly from Jewish leaders who rejected Jesus and hindered the spread of the Gospel. He concludes by expressing his deep desire to visit them again, explaining how evil forces prevented his return, and affirming that the Thessalonians themselves are his greatest source of hope, joy, and pride for the future.
