HEBREWS: CHAPTER 4

Chapter 4 of Hebrews continues to talk about the idea of God's "rest" for his people. It warns believers not to miss out on this spiritual rest, just as previous generations of Israelites failed to enter God's promised land because they didn't believe. The chapter emphasises that this "rest" isn't just a physical place, but a deep spiritual peace and ceasing from our own efforts. It urges readers to actively pursue this rest. The chapter then transitions to describe Jesus as our great High Priest, who fully understands our struggles because he experienced temptation, yet never sinned. Because of this, we can confidently approach God for mercy and help.
