MICAH: CHAPTER 4

Micah Chapter 4 begins with a hopeful vision of a future time when Jerusalem, God's special mountain, will be recognised as the spiritual centre of the world. Nations from everywhere will come to learn God's ways, leading to a period of global peace where weapons are turned into farming tools and war is no longer taught or practised. The chapter then shifts to acknowledge Israel's current suffering and exile, comparing it to the pain of childbirth, and foretells their forced journey to Babylon. However, even in this distress, God promises rescue and restoration. Finally, it reveals that many nations will gather to destroy Jerusalem, but God will empower His people to overcome these enemies, demonstrating His supreme authority over all the earth.
