PSALMS: CHAPTER 10

Psalm 10 is a heartfelt plea to God during a time of intense trouble, questioning why He seems distant and hidden when evil is rampant. The psalmist vividly describes the character of the wicked person: full of pride, boastful of their desires, dismissive of God, and preying on the poor, innocent, and vulnerable. These evil individuals believe God neither sees their actions nor cares, thinking they will never face consequences. The psalm shifts from lament to a fervent prayer, urging God to rise up, act, and bring justice. It expresses confidence that God does see all the wickedness and will ultimately defend the helpless and judge the oppressors, affirming His eternal reign and commitment to justice for the humble and oppressed.
