MATTHEW: CHAPTER 28

Matthew Chapter 28 describes the incredible events following Jesus's crucifixion and burial. It begins with two women discovering the empty tomb early on Sunday morning, where an angel announces Jesus's resurrection. They encounter the risen Jesus himself, who instructs them to tell his disciples to meet him in Galilee. Meanwhile, the guards at the tomb are bribed by the religious leaders to spread a false story about Jesus's body being stolen. The chapter concludes with Jesus meeting his eleven disciples in Galilee and giving them what is known as the Great Commission, instructing them to go and make disciples of all nations, baptising and teaching them, and promising to be with them always.
