1 CHRONICLES: CHAPTER 28

In 1 Chronicles Chapter 28, King David gathers all the prominent leaders of Israel in Jerusalem for a significant announcement. He explains his long-held desire to build a magnificent temple for the Ark of the Covenant, but reveals that God prevented him from doing so because he was a warrior who had engaged in much bloodshed. David then declares that God chose him to be king, and from his many sons, God specifically selected Solomon to construct the temple and succeed him on the throne. David outlines the conditions for Solomon's successful reign, emphasising obedience to God's commands, and encourages all Israel to follow God's ways. He then hands over to Solomon the divinely inspired architectural blueprints and detailed specifications for every part of the temple, its furnishings, and the services, along with instructions for the priests and Levites. David concludes by strongly encouraging Solomon to be brave and carry out the work, assuring him that God, along with skilled workers and the entire nation, will support him until the project is complete.
