2 CHRONICLES

The Book of 2 Chronicles records the history of the kings who ruled the southern kingdom of Judah, beginning with King Solomon and continuing through to the time the people were taken away to Babylon. It particularly emphasises the importance of the Temple in Jerusalem as God's dwelling place, the role of the priests and Levites, and how the kings' faithfulness (or lack thereof) to God directly affected the nation's prosperity or downfall. It often highlights God's covenant with David and the consequences for his descendants, serving as a reminder of God's unchanging nature and His expectations for His people.
