EZRA

The book of Ezra tells the story of how the Jewish people returned to Jerusalem after being held captive in Babylon for many years. It primarily focuses on two major returns: first, under Zerubbabel, who led the people in rebuilding God's temple; and later, under Ezra, a priest and scribe, who helped them restore their spiritual lives and commitment to God's laws. The book highlights God's faithfulness in bringing His people back to their land and helping them re-establish their religious practises and community, despite facing many challenges and opposition. It emphasises the importance of obeying God and worshipping Him properly.
