1 CHRONICLES: CHAPTER 22

Chapter 22 of 1 Chronicles describes King David's extensive preparations for building the Temple in Jerusalem, even though God had told him his son, Solomon, would be the one to construct it. David gathered vast amounts of building materials like gold, silver, bronze, iron, timber, and stone, and organised skilled workers. He then called Solomon, his son, and explained God's command that Solomon, a man of peace, would build the Temple because David himself had been a man of war. David encouraged Solomon to be strong, courageous, and obedient to God's laws, assuring him of God's presence and blessing. Finally, David instructed all the leaders of Israel to support Solomon in this monumental task, reminding them that God had given them peace and control over the land.
