NUMBERS: CHAPTER 7

Numbers Chapter 7 describes the elaborate dedication ceremony for the Tabernacle and its altar after Moses had finished setting it up and anointing it. Over twelve consecutive days, the leader of each of Israel's tribes presented identical and extensive offerings, demonstrating the unity and commitment of the nation to God's dwelling place. These gifts included waggons and oxen for the Levites' service, as well as specific silver and gold items, and various animal sacrifices for the newly dedicated altar. The chapter concludes by highlighting that, after this dedication, God would speak directly to Moses from within the Tabernacle, above the Ark of the Covenant.
