GENESIS: CHAPTER 6

Genesis chapter 6 describes a period when human wickedness on Earth became incredibly severe. Supernatural beings, referred to as "sons of God," began marrying human women, leading to a corrupt mingling and the rise of powerful individuals. God observed humanity's thoughts and actions, finding them to be consistently evil, which caused Him deep sorrow. Because of this widespread corruption and violence across the globe, God made the difficult decision to destroy all living things on the planet with a great flood. However, one man, Noah, stood out because he lived righteously and maintained a close relationship with God. God chose Noah and commanded him to construct an enormous vessel, an ark, giving him very specific instructions about its size, design, and materials. Noah was told to bring his family and two of every kind of animal into this ark to survive the coming disaster, ensuring that life would continue. Noah faithfully obeyed every single command God gave him.
