NUMBERS: CHAPTER 33

Numbers Chapter 33 provides a detailed historical record of every single stop the Israelites made during their forty-year journey through the wilderness, from their departure point in Rameses, Egypt, all the way to their final camp on the plains of Moab, just across the Jordan River from Canaan. This extensive itinerary lists forty-two different locations, emphasising the long and often challenging path God led them on. The chapter also notes significant events along the way, such as Aaron's death on Mount Hor. It concludes with God's direct instructions to Moses concerning the Israelites' upcoming conquest of Canaan, commanding them to drive out the existing inhabitants, destroy their idols and pagan worship sites, and divide the land among their tribes. God warns them of severe consequences if they fail to follow these commands.
