EZEKIEL: CHAPTER 34

Ezekiel Chapter 34 delivers a powerful message from God condemning the corrupt leaders of Israel, who are likened to selfish shepherds. God accuses them of caring only for themselves, exploiting their people, and neglecting the weak, sick, and lost. As a result, the people (God's flock) have been scattered and harmed. God declares that He will remove these false shepherds and personally take on the role of the true Shepherd. He promises to search for His lost sheep, gather them, heal them, and bring them back to their own land, providing them with safety and abundant sustenance. Furthermore, God announces He will judge between the oppressive people and the oppressed. He promises to raise up a righteous, ideal leader, His "servant David," who will genuinely care for them. Through this new covenant, God will bring lasting peace, security, and prosperity, ensuring His people know that He is their God and they are His chosen flock.
